Artist's Comments

When I saw Bataleigh's La Fee Verte [link] first time, I knew I had to have something like it :D We (me and ~timjo) occasionally buy Absinthe (mostly when we can afford it and are going to Tallinn to get it) and we've been looking for a pretty spoon for making Green Fairies, a teaspoon just isn't the same.

So Bataleigh gave me an inspiration and the idea. I wondered if I dared to upload this into my gallery, since it's nothing of my own design after all. But after all, it's nothing like the original.

This is made of .925 silver. One of a kind, Because I'm not happy with the idea of making any of these for sale. I've been making some spoons lately, and it's not as fun as jewelry is. Though I have one commission for a spoon, that will be done some time next autumn I think..

Lovely spoon.....thanks for introducing me to the interesting subject of Absinthe!

Beautiful work on the handle, and to make the veining of the leaf into a sieve for the sugar is a brilliant idea!

Are you sure you wouldn't make a variation of this for sale? I would be interested in one with a smaller bowl and a rounded leaf that could be used as a baby feeding spoon. Would you consider it, and what would you charge for it?
:icongufihtar:
That will be interesting :) Maybe I've started a new trend.

Thankyou. Though I got those elements from =bataleigh, she has those on her La Fee verte.
